Donatello (Born 1386, Died 1466)was an Italian artist during theRenaissance. He influenced the renaissance by his new and improved way of international gothic sculpture.
He lived in Florence and was very famous because he was one of the best sculptors of his times.
He used special sort of sculpture technique, called 'shallow relief', made his work look very real. His artwork is classified as International gothic. International gothic, a style of softly curved lines strongly influenced by northern European art.

Lo Zuccone is a marble statue made by Donatello. It was commissioned for the bell tower of theFlorence Cathedral of Florence, Italy and completed between 1423 and 1425.
It is also known as the Statue of the Prophet Habakkuk, as many believe it depicts theBiblical figure Habakkuk.
The statue is known for its realism and naturalism, which differed from most statuary commissioned at the time.
It is now in the Museo dell' Opera del Duomo in Florence.

Feast of Herod
The Feast of Herod is a bronze sculpture created circa 1427.
It is one of Donatello's earliest relief sculptures. The sculpture is noted for Donatello's use of perspective. The piece is 60 by 60 centimeters.
The sculpture depicts the beheading of St. John the Baptist. The scene depicts an executioner presenting the severed head, and King Herod reacting in shock.
